growing up in new england, i had plenty of access to perfect, wonderful bagels + they were a weekly breakfast staple for my family. while i love living in the south, the bagels in this city leave something to be desired. imagine my delight when i heard that a new bagel shop, bagel face bakery, was opening less than a mile from our house!
having now sampled lots of their different bagels, i can say that i have been largely impressed with them. the texture is perfect – chewy inside with a nice golden crust on the outside, + the flavors have been nicely satisfying. the only bagel that i was disappointed with was the blueberry bagel, but let’s be honest, blueberry bagels are always weird. pictured above are just a few of the kinds we’ve sampled – everything, pumpkin chocolate chip, mozzarella basil, poppyseed, wheat, + plain.
