my first experience cooking on TV!

by Amy on 28 September 2012

yesterday, i added something amazing to my list of life experiences: i did a cooking segment live on tv! the lovely folks at Talk Of The Town, a great local talk show, invited me to come on + discuss/ prepare some easy, healthy snacks. of course, i couldn’t say no! so, yesterday morning, I went to the studio, met a whole bunch of wonderful on-air personalities, producers, + behind-the-scenes crew members, + got ready to get cookin’. here i am right before taping!

without further ado, here i am, making my cooking-on-tv debut! (note: if you’re reading from Google Reader/an email subscription, you’ll have to click through to the full post to see the video).

here are the two recipes featured during the segment:
no-bake peanut butter energy bites
no-bake chewy chocolate chip granola bars

i had such a blast doing the segment + hopefully, i’ll be back to cook in the Talk Of The Town kitchen again this fall. =) and thank you SO much to everyone who sent me encouraging messages through facebook + twitter both before the segment + after seeing me on-air – y’all are truly the greatest!

Dang girl! You looked like a pro!

PS. Nathan said he completely forgot that you were going to be on that day, or else he would have come down to say hello!

thanks so much, girl! and no problem about Nathan – i’m hoping to be back on the show within the next few months, so I’ll give him a heads-up + maybe he can pop by then. =)

You did such a great job and I am definitely going to have to make these for my pre-workout snack! Hunter would love getting to help me, too!
